Settlement Attorney

Please contact the settlement attorney handling your transaction if you have questions or issues related to the following: the title to your property, title insurance policies, interpretation of the real estate contract, and settlement and title insurance fees. Settlement Processor

Please contact the settlement processor handling your transaction if you have questions or issues related to the following: scheduling settlement, providing new lender information, payoff information for existing loans or associations, preliminary HUD requests, and payment information for invoices or other fees being collected at settlement. If you do not know who the processor is handling your transaction please call your local Universal Title office directly, or 877-645-8319.

Post-Closing

Please contact Universal Title’s post-closing department if you have questions or issues related to the following: missing title policies, recorded documents, missing checks, unreleased deeds of trust, and documents on record.  For Virginia files you can email postclosing@universaltitle.com.  For Maryland and D.C. files you can email mddcpostclosing@universaltitle.com.
